His Whole Family Is Proud Of Him
And, you know, they're like, oh, my goodness, I'm going to get deported now after I've been here for 20 years. Like, yeah, well, if you never made any effort whatsoever in 20 years, what the hell are you doing? Like, you know, that just shows disregard for the system in general. And, you know, I know a lot of people who are legal immigrants who spent, you know, their families spent every cent that they had to send their kid here.
Like I met this great kid once many years ago, and he was broke down and he was at my shop and I was trying to fix his car for him. And his truck was just trashed. I mean, it was, you know, they needed thousands of dollars worth of work.
And he was a Korean kid. He was from South Korea. And his family had taken every dollar they had sold their house in Korea and were living in a single bedroom studio apartment so they could send him to America, because that's how much it mattered to them for them to be here.
And his response was once he got here, he immediately enlisted in the military so that he would serve his time and become a citizen via that means. And that, to me, shows determination. And I want more people like that in this country.
Okay, that's what I want. I want people that want to be here, want to be American. And he told me that his whole family is proud of him for being here.
And I told him that he that is the greatest thing I've ever heard. And he was a great kid. And that's the kind of person I want into this country.
