The Evidence Isn't There.

They need to get all the way to the outside of the car, and then Derek Chauvin shows up, OK? After they've already been battling this guy for 20 minutes, then he finally shows up at the very end of it, and that's when all that stuff happened, and they ruined that guy's life, and he is in prison for life. So mob justice is not a good thing in any scenario. It doesn't matter how much you hate the thing about it or how much you believe that it needs to happen.
It is horrid and horrible. But a lot of those people don't get prosecuted because you can't prosecute them because you don't know who they are in the video. Maybe they wear masks.

Maybe they wear stuff. You can't identify them through the video. Just having a video does not mean you can prosecute people.

Like, unless you've got them dead to rights. It's like, do you really believe that there's a video that's going to be like Bill Clinton wandering in in his suit and going, hey, baby, and then going to the back room? Like, do you think that's going to happen? Like, do you really believe that? Yeah, holding up his ID card at the same time as he approaches the room. Yeah, it is.

You're right, though, Walter. It's what you can prove. It's not what you know.

I don't think it works well for us, though. If you really think about it, if you end up in that seat where you're being prosecuted by the government, you're going to want them to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. Because, trust me, there are cases out there, and we make mistakes in this world.

We make mistakes where innocent people end up going to jail. So I just want people to remember that I don't know of anybody in the DOJ that would not want, right now, like they would not want to be the one that takes someone down. They would – imagine how many book deals you'd get.

Imagine who you would be to the world if you could take one of these people down for the whole – there's a lot of people that want that guy to show up. So if the evidence was there, trust me, he'd show up. And the fact that he's not shows that the evidence isn't there.
