How to boost your blog’s traffic using BoardBooster.

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

Disclaimer: This post was made from December 2016 from my Save and Earn Blog website which is now [The Save and Earn Report] (http://www.saveandearnreport.com) However this method is still effective into getting traffic.

I use Pinterest as my method of getting organic traffic on my website. It’s powerful because Pinterest allows you to pin pictures and attach links to them. So, if you’re selling something, you could post a picture of the item and link the item to your webpage and lead your visitors to a potential direct sale. It’s very wonderful.

What is BoardBooster and what are it’s features?

Boardbooster is a Pinterest automation tool that pins your content for you. It’s pretty much a pin it and forget it system. It’s very tedious to manually pin pictures yourself especially if you have a lot of things to pin daily. The tool comes with two types of pin scheduling options:

 Scheduled and Random campaigns.

Scheduled Campaigns will make Boardbooster create secret boards on your Pinterest account and any pins that you add to that secret board will be added to be repined to other boards based on a custom interval that you set.

Random Campaigns will make Boardbooster randomly pull pins from a particular board that you specify and repins them to the board you specify during the day. Campaigns are great for advertising your pins on group boards. I would recommend to join group boards, because they are populated with people sharing their pins to their website and it’s the true method of getting traffic to your blog.

Looping is another feature (the best feature at that) that allows you to take old pins for ages ago and repin them to your new followers that you gained after posting this pin and it automatically deletes the pin that has been duplicated on the board of your choice. . It’s the best feature of this tool and I highly recommend using it.

Pricing

Boardbooster has an affordable pricing plan, however they give you 100 free pins to use on their scheduler. Look at the image below on their pricing plan. For the average blogger like myself, you shouldn’t spend no more than the $10 plan (1000 pins a month), however, if your blog brings in a great amount of revenue monthly, then upgrading the plan shouldn’t hurt your pockets too much.

Results (Old Results from December 2016)

Now here’s the results that you’ve been waiting for. Boardbooster does it’s job into making sure that you get impressions to your pins. As you can see here, my pins received on average nearly 1k views per day for just doing only 30 mins of work with the tool.

However, my pins aren’t converting well to clicks to my website. It could be a number of reasons which I will explain below, but first check out the picture. On average for the first month, 3 visitors are visiting my blog posts from my pins which is very lacking. However Google Analytics reported that I’ve received around over 400 pageviews over the month. My bounce rate is very low which is a good thing. It means that when someone from Pinterest visited one of my blog posts, they didn’t just click on the link and leave without just reading anything else.

Here’s some reason on why my links may not be converting to clicks.

  • My pin images may not be engaging enough for my viewers, so I may need to improve how my pin images need to look.
  • The group boards that I joined are not performing well and my pins easily get overrides with other member’s pins.
  • My pinning schedule may not be good enough for most active times of Pinterest.
  • I need to join more group boards to reach out to more potential consumers.

My blog is still fairly new, so I shouldn’t be disappointed and continue to work hard to make sure my pins are reaching people. I’m very impressed with this tool and I’m still gonna work inside Pinterest to make sure it’s the best resource to use to keep my blog active.
