Blood Test Result: 2026-04 (PSA still a bit elevated)

I took a blood test yesterday, and here is the result:

The PSA results show a consistently elevated level of around 5.35–5.42 µg/L over the past year, which is above the normal range of 0–2.5 µg/L and falls into the clinical “grey zone.” While the stability of the values is somewhat reassuring, it does not rule out underlying issues. Elevated PSA can be caused by benign conditions such as prostate enlargement (BPH) or inflammation (prostatitis), but it may also indicate a risk of prostate cancer that requires further evaluation. Therefore, this finding should not be ignored; instead, it warrants a structured follow-up that may include repeat testing under controlled conditions, assessment of free PSA ratio, and potentially imaging such as a multiparametric MRI to determine whether more invasive investigation is necessary.
