Canon Repaired My Canon 24-70mm for 288 GBP

Four months ago, while I was travelling in Paris, my camera suddenly stopped working. It showed two errors: Err 01, which indicated that the 24–70mm lens was faulty, and Err 80, which appeared intermittently and didn’t occur very often.

I sent the lens to Canon for repair, and it came back today fully fixed, along with a minor service. The total cost was £288.04. Unfortunately, I purchases the lens long long time ago (7-8 years), and it has been already past the warranty.
