How Cryptocurrency Changed My Life

One day, while in school my friend comes up to me. He tapped me on my shoulder and said, "Hey, check this out". What he showed me was the price of the popular coin "NEO". He said "It's down like 10 dollars, i bought five of them, i promise they'll go up to like 20$". So, i got excited, and bought three of them, even tho i had no idea what it was. And this was the beginning of what would come to change my life, forever.

I've always been a little bit interested in business and economics, in fact, that's what i'm studying right now. But never have i ever been that excited, like the day my friend showed me NEO. And so that became the first cryptocurrency i ever bought, and soon there was more to follow.

Why Has This Changed My Life?

I have one sentence for this. 

It made me rethink the whole purpose of my life. 

Before that, i didn't have a dream. I had no idea what i would do when i got out of school. I didn't know what i wanted to become, or do in life. But after my friend showing me the market for cryptocurrency, i instantly got HOOKED. I've gone from reading nothing, learning nothing and not caring about school to being the best version of myself. I've begun reading books about investing, business, economics and cryptocurrency for the sole purpose to learn and improve. I'm now a lot more motivated in school and i schedule my work. And most important, i have a dream which i want to achieve. 

A lot has changed with my social life as well. I've started to ignore the people who just spread their negativity towards me, and i've started to ignore what others think. I wear what i want, i do what i want and no one can tell me what i should do, or should become. In other words, my entire way of living has changed.

What I Want In Life

There's just one thing i want in life. It's a powerful word. "FREEDOM". Freedom can mean many different things to different people. But my way of seeing freedom is to be financially independent, be able to do what you love, and not to be controlled by anyone else. Basically, live your life like YOU want.

My Crypto Journey

It all started out with my friend who got me into buying my first ever cryptocurrency, NEO. I bought 2,5 of them. I'd sit hours on end just looking at my computer seeing what has happened to the price, if it had gone up in the last 5 minutes i was happy. If it went down with just 1$, i would instantly panic. More or less, you could say that i was a terrible investor. And i was aware of that. I didn't know what i was doing. 

But after a few months of doing the same thing, i got used to it. I now have the knowledge to be able to invest in cryptocurrency and a lot more, while thinking it's really fun. I learned to spread out my investment, which i've done. I own about 20 different coins, with about half of them being from ICOs. And i've not only made a profit of 4x since i started, i've also gotten a lot of useful knowledge which i will bring with me for the rest of my life.

Here's a little list of the coins that i've profited the most out of.

• Internxt "INXT". Bought for around 0.2$ per coin, now at around 6-7$ per coin.
• Electroneum "ETN". Gone up about 2000% since i bought it.
