Why Postmodernism is medieval. And a Trojan Horse. Oh, yeah, and stupid....Part 1

Postmodernism is a 'philosophy' ( I use that terms as loosely as I can), that is devoid of any real content.
It's not a real philosophy or even a logical train of thought, for it has no train of thought.

Dictionaries have a very hard time defining it, which tells you a lot.
Mostly, that it's indefinable.

Bizarrely - postmodernism has become almost universally embraced as a dominant philosophy in science.
And equally - non bizarrely - Also shows the reason that science crumbles before us in the 21st century.

Epistemology. The study of the nature of knowledge, justification, and the rationality of belief.

Postmodernism corrupts this very definition of epistemology. And yet somehow it's found it's way into the scientific community. (more about the 'why's' of that one, later)
Postmodernism has extended, infected more like - into every branch of philosophy , from ethics, to politics, to economics.

To get a grasp on postmodernist philosophy, you must first realize that postmodernism doesn’t want to be defined.
To do so, is to take a position.
The most distinguishing characteristic of postmodernism, is trying to rid itself of all, and any, definitions. And positions.
Why?
Because definitions imply that a universe makes some kind of rational sense. The very opposite of postmodernist thinking.

This is a medieval mindset, and post logic. It's insanity.

Would you like an antibiotic, or a witches spell, for your infection, sir?
There's no reality you see? There's no objective truth, you see..?

Modernism accepted the existence of an independent reality , postmodernism preaches the opposite . Anti-realism, and solipsism (the idea that ones on mind is the only sure thing to exist).
Postmodernist just love to put “reality” in quotation marks.

Modernists used reason and science.
Postmodernism preaches subjectivitivsm, and knowledge by consensus is then seen as a valid metric.
(peer review papers in science, for example, is taken as truth in today's postmodern world of science. Consensus proves truth - even though there is no truth in the postmodernist world. Confused? Good - That's because you're sane.)

Modernism accepts free-will and self-governance, postmodernism preaches determinism (lack of free will), and the rule of the collective.
Postmodernism is the trojan horse of marxism.

While the freedom of each and every individual is central to many non postmodernistic philosphies- , postmodernism preaches multiculturalism, environmentalism, egalitarianism by force.
A trojan horse of totalitarianism

While free-markets and free-exchange are seen as essential to peoples freedom - postmodernism preaches Marxism and its close relative : statism.

Objective meaning and knowledge is not accepted by the postmodernist - who instead , preaches everything is subjective and unverifiable.

Michel Foucault, one of the earlier proponent of postmodernism, said : “It is meaningless to speak in the name of — or against — Reason, Truth, or Knowledge.”
According to Foucault, 'Reason is the ultimate language of madness'.

Seriously?
Talk about the pot calling the kettle....

Postmodernism is a philosophy that accepts the impossibility of human knowledge.

(but also, nothing is impossible apparently, at the same time. Confused? Good, it means you're sane.)

Everything in life is purely subjective to the postmodernist thinker..

This has far reaching consequences.
Take literature as just one example.
No book has objective meaning, and is completely open to interpretation.
Shakespeare may be discussing love, but the reader may decide it is about the oppression of the sexes. And so it is.
Othello is as much about racism and affirmative action, as it is about jealousy and passion.
No objective meaning , means that all interpretations are valid.

Postmodernism is anti-reason, anti-logic, anti-intelligence...

From the political perspective - it is anti-freedom.
It advocates leftist doctrine, and 'the collective' is the lowest common denominator.

It dispenses with the inalienable rights of property and your own person is not your own property. There is no property as it merely a construct. Reality doesn't exist.(confused? Good, that means you're sane)

There is one problem with Postmodernism.
And it's a biggie.

A flaw which makes postmodernism impossible to take seriously.

Here we go....

If reason and logic are not real, and no objective knowledge and logic is possible, then the VERY philosophy of postmodernism is also invalid.

It cannot be argued for it's own validity, for that requires reasoning.

YOU CANNOT USE REASON AND LOGIC OF ANY KIND - TO PROVE REASON IS FALSE .....

Now that idiocy is dispensed with, (for any rational reader..)...let's go to part 2.
