It seems like people are too eager to make Steemit the next "big thing."
There are other decentralized blockchain sns platforms (existing and under development) but it looks like users are just jumping to the flavor of the week. Each one operates differently so hopefully the masses see Steemit for its value and influence instead of just a rest place until a 'Facebook replacement' comes along
