What's new Dec 2021

in #blog3 years ago

Hello my dear followers and friends!

Wow! It's been awile, almost two years that you didn't heard a single word from me. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot engage in social activities on an ongoing basis, since I spend all of my enthusiasm on writing code and testing it. During these two years I have worked on several projects, some of them in Go language, which I used for the 1-st time and I absolutely in love with it! Now, everything I write in Go, I then write in C because I love both and I love to test things. Go turned out to be faster when it comes to net/url , net/http and it just amazed me, so I started immediately to rewrite everything I had to try in Go. There were also disappointments. I tried to write at least something in OCaml and it was so freaking hard that I told myself I am going to wait another few years for better documentation. I also tried to write in Rust, but that took much more time than I expected and in the end I gave up on this, at least for now. I decided to finish my projects and only then learn Rust, DIY electronics and so on.

Now let's see what I have brought you today.

NFTs

I created few collections 1, 2, 3 just to see what it's all about. In the proccess I had an idea, so I wrote another few NFTs that I am going to talk about later. The idea was to create NFT(animation) that is never repeat, I made 3 different examples so if you want me to show you these let me know in the comments below. If there's a group of people interested, I will gladly make a short series of articles on this.

What else?

As you already know from cryptocurrencies-and-trading-signals-from-enthusiastic-perspective article I contributed to the open-source project. People have contacted me with questions about how to do this and how to do that, so I started my own version in Go to make it faster, simpler and better optimized for real world tasks that we crypto enthusiasts have. Since I work for free and I work alone, this project is still in progress, but good news is I did about half of it (the most difficult part).

Another project you already know about is Synballo. The project has been running for 18 months. During this time received 5 updates and Chrome version. Latest version, I added experimental functionality that works pretty bad. This is due to browsers that still don't have a single standard. Believe me, I'm a perfectionist and it was a difficult decision to add such functionality. Let's assume that I took this step at my own peril and risk. Some very popular sites are made so poorly (such as Twitter) that automatic copy-to-text-field features do nothing at all or even break pages template, but still it works on most sites and if you know how to use it, ready to deal with bugs (that there is no way for me to fix till browsers don't fix it on their side) you definitely should try it.

If you have any questions/suggestions or well-founded criticism, feel free to contact me and thank you for your time!
