Haha!! The same exact thing happened to me in Warsaw!! Me and my college were walking at night and came across one Lime scooter. And we thought to ourselves ... we don't need to have it electric we'll just pedal a bit and that thing started beeping in the middle of the night like crazy!!
But next morning. We investigated a bit and created account. Charged for 5$ - man once you are on that thing - it really doesn't matter how much it cost!!! If you still have a chance - risk 5$ and i promise you - you won't regret it! =)
We ended up charging 15$ for 4-5 days visit in Warsaw - totally worth it. It makes me wanna buy one at home :// Still resisting tho (for now).
I am already far away from Brisbane. We don't have these cool things in Sydney + student's budget is not helping either. :) But yeah, I imagine having your own scooter is awesome! And the thing is becoming so popular these days, and they can go soooo fast.
I'm busy spending money on hiking/camping equipment and searching a bicycle at the moment (and secretly want to buy some camera that has some great discount... nothing at this moment.) :( scooter is very low on my priority list :)

Hahahaha... We've got a free cinema night (for the lion king).... after soem talk I realised that basically a night out to the cinema is about $50.... :D That's not cinema... that's robbery!
