Failure Is Part Of The Process
When I started as a stock broker at a small boutique firm, penny stock firm, I had the dream of being rich. As a stock broker you were paid strictly by commission. When I told my Dad that I was going to become a stock broker and it was 100% commission, my Dad didn't like the idea. He explained to me that I needed to know how much I was going to get paid on a weekly bases.
Nevertheless I still pursued my idea of being a stock broker. I had minimal success in the beginning. In matter of fact, it was so minimal that eventually I had to tap out because I couldn't pay my bills. I had accumulated a lot of debt because the motto was the more debt that you had the harder you will work. Well, I couldn't make enough to keep up. Of course what my Dad said ranged in my head.
So I had gotten odd and end jobs to try to catch up with my bills. Then I got into selling insurance. Yes that job was commission. I had a bit more success, but I wasn't moving up fast enough, I wasn't happy. Then roughly after 2 years of being in the insurance industry, I get a call from a buddy who wanted to recruit me back into the brokerage business, also 100% commissions. I said yes, and from that point everything clicked and I had a very successful career in the financial industry.
Failure is part of the process. Understand failure is not failure, unless you stop trying. If you are trying, that means that what you tried just didn't work at that time, for one reason or another. From each "failure", learn from it and move forward. You can't dodge making mistakes, you can't dodge messing up. You will have doubters, and you will have haters. Block them all out. Stay focus on the bigger picture, your desires. Despite it all you will be successful. Failure is part of the process.
