I have exactly the same situation about the job :D but steemit is great :D

I figure I have had 1 month to get an understanding of the platfom and another 3 months to prove that I can make some headway on steemit. Even if I started working tomorrow, I would still be on steemit, just less frequently.
you can get a lot of followers :D
Now that I passed 300 followers, I'm picking up 25-30 a day. I think I can pull this off and have full control of my life. That's the goal.
