GOD'S VESSELS 4
"FOR THE GIFTS AND THE CALLING OF GOD ARE NOT REPENTED OF."
Romans 11:29 (American Standard Version)
• We could now see that there is no one who is saved that has no function or work to do in the body of Christ.
- Those who are given the assignment to train or equip:
a. the ministry gifts or those in the ministry offices
b. those who are trained or equipped to do the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:11,12). - Thus, salvation or being saved should not be treated casually, It is a door or means to a functional role in the Body of Christ. You have to discover your place in the Body!
- Salvation leads to justification, being made right with God, and ultimately to be glorified—to render or make glorious. In other words, It means to be full of glory, honour, and be magnified (Romans 8:30).
- Whoever confesses Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour is justified by faith, made right with God through his or her confession of faith in Christ Jesus' death and resurrection for the atonement of their sins (Romans 10:9,10).
- The justification is not by the works of the law, or whatever good you do—charitable deeds (Romans 3:20,24-26,28).
- In between the justification and glorification is the how you live your life on earth; the doing of whatever assignment or work or ministry given you to fulfill or accomplish by God.
- Whilst the justification is by faith through the substitutionary sacrificial death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, but being glorified which is the ultimate would be the making of eternity in Christ's Kingdom (John 14:1-3).
• That said, what would make being glorified colourful would entail or involve, in part, the consideration of whatever your contribution to the building of God's Kingdom on earth:
13 BUT ON THE JUDGMENT DAY, FIRE WILL REVEAL WHAT KIND OF WORK EACH BUILDER HAS DONE. THE FIRE WILL SHOW IF A PERSON'S WORK HAS ANY VALUE. 14 IF THE WORK SURVIVES, THAT BUILDER WILL RECEIVE A REWARD. 15 BUT IF THE WORK IS BURNED UP, THE BUILDER WILL SUFFER GREAT LOSS. THE BUILDER WILL BE SAVED, BUT LIKE SOMEONE BARELY ESCAPING THROUGH A WALL OF FLAMES" (1 Corinthians 3:13-15 NLT).
- Some would be glorified like someone who escape through fire, because their works would not endure or survive the test of the fire (1 Corinthians 3:15).
- You will be glorified or make heaven If you are justified by God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
- However, to some extent, the colorfulness or the full benefits or advantages of the glorification would be determined by your faithfulness and how you fare in the work or ministry or assignment given to you on earth.
• How you treated the call of God on your life would determine the glorification. And a measure of the glorification could also be seen while you are still working on the assignment whilst on the earth here.
- The glorification here on earth could mean when your work or ministry or assignment is approved by God with results and blessings.
- It could be a time of visitation from above, a due time of exaltation in ministry, and a time of material rewards or abundance.
- God usually turns around the condition or situation of a believer or minister who had served faithfully in whatever they are given or assigned to do: "AFTER YOU HAVE SUFFERED FOR A LITTLE WHILE, THE GOD OF ALL GRACE [who imparts His blessing and favour], WHO CALLED YOU TO HIS OWN ETERNAL GLORY IN CHRIST, WILL HIMSELF COMPLETE, CONFIRM, STRENGTHEN, AND ESTABLISH YOU [making you what you ought to be]" (1 Peter 5:10 Amps).
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- The hold of enemy is broken completely in your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
