16 HE SENT FROM ABOVE, HE TOOK ME; HE DREW ME OUT OF MANY WATERS.
17 HE DELIVERED ME FROM MY STRONG ENEMY, FROM THOSE WHO HATED ME, For they were too strong for me.
18 THEY CONFRONTED ME IN THE DAY OF MY CALAMITY, BUT THE LORD WAS MY SUPPORT.
19 He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me."
Psalm 18:16-19 (NKJV)

• You do not just read the Bible, using your human nature or soul or mind, you invite the Holy Spirit to help you, and meditatively study the Word, allowing the Holy Spirit to tutor or coach you—instruct and guide you (John 14:26; 16:13; 1 John 2:27).

  • You might need to be exposed to some challenges or battles, in order to prepare or equip you for the assignment ahead of you (Judges 3:1,2).
  • You do not go about looking for the devil to fight with. No. You focus on your work and avoid any distraction, but If the devil or any of his loyalists surfaces, you deal with such with the Word of God and prayer (James 4:7).
  • In dealing with the opposers, the devil and his cohorts, your purity or holiness should be uncompromising: "WITH THE PURE YOU WILL SHOW YOURSELF PURE; AND WITH THE DEVIOUS YOU WILL SHOW YOURSELF SHREWD" (Psalm 18:26 NKJV).
  • If you are pure in your Christian walk, God also would show Himself pure and faithful (Psalm 18:25,26). But with the devious or wicked, He show Himself hostile or shrewd.
  • Purity is a major price to pay for the abiding presence of God in your life (Psalm 24:3-5; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15,16). God will defend and protect those who live their lives according to His precepts. Whilst living in sin would open the door for the enemy, the devil, to have an access to your life.
  • Faithfulness mentioned in the Bible passage, Psalm 18:25, should be on your part in your walk with God. To experience God's faithfulness in reciprocation, you had to be faithful in your dealings with God.
  • Do not try to use God whereby you come to Him only when you have a pressing need in your life.

• You would need to take notice of these:
a. Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). In other words, always be in the mood of prayer. You can be doing whatever you are doing throughout the day and be praying in the spirit under your breath (1 Corinthians 14:2; Ephesians 6:18).
b. Do not fight like someone beating the air (1 Corinthians 9:26). If you did, It can make you a casualty.
c. Be consistent in your walk with God, without it, getting or having a result could be a mirage.

  • Walking with God means living in line with the Bible and being sensitive to the leadings of God through the Holy Spirit on the inside of you.
  • When you chose the path of walking in the spirit (Galatians 5:16), which is being led or controlled or directed or guided intuitively by the Holy Spirit through the your spirit, inward man; It makes you live above sin (Galatians 5:16-18).
  • Those who claimed to be born-again, who had been in the Christian faith for a period of time, but still struggle with different sins, are usually those who do not pay any attention to their spiritual life or the things of the spirit that are meant to edify them.

• There are challenges and battles in life, even as a believer, because the devil, the adversary, is relentless in getting the elects—the believers (1 Peter 5:8).

  • A believer who walks in the spirit would always be on guard, though the devil would be attempting to prey on him or her; but their walking with God will be a shield that would not allow such to see or feel the impact of the challenges of the devil—the opposer.
  • You basically win in the battles of life which some call spiritual warfare by building a strong fellowship or communion with God.
  • Someone, a believer, who builds a strong communion or fellowship with God would not have to be engaging in the battles. He or she would only need to be taking their matters to God in prayer, for Him to fight their battles.
  • If you are the type of a believer who likes engaging the devil in battles or warfares, you may be a casualty If care is not taken. You are not expected to be looking for the devil to engage with in a battle. You are to put on the armour of God, and having done that, you stand: "THEREFORE TAKE UP THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND IN THE EVIL DAY, AND HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND" (Ephesians 6:13 NKJV).
  • Note: the armour is all about your spiritual exercise:
14 STAND THEREFORE, HAVING GIRDED YOUR WAIST WITH TRUTH, HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 15 AND HAVING SHOD YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; 16 ABOVE ALL, TAKING THE SHIELD OF FAITH WITH WHICH YOU WILL BE ABLE TO QUENCH ALL THE FIERY DARTS OF THE WICKED ONE. 17 AND TAKE THE HELMET OF SALVATION, AND THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD" (Ephesians 6:14-17 NKJV).

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
  • Whatever is not planted in your life, working against your health, such is cursed and rooted out completely in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
