REDEMPTION 3
16 SO DON'T BE DISMAYED WHEN THE WICKED GROW RICH AND THEIR HOMES BECOME EVER MORE SPLENDID.
17 For when they die, they take nothing with them. Their wealth will not follow them into the grave.
18 In this life they consider themselves fortunate and are applauded for their success.
19 BUT THEY WILL DIE LIKE ALL BEFORE THEM AND NEVER AGAIN SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY.
20 PEOPLE WHO BOAST OF THEIR WEALTH DON'T UNDERSTAND; THEY WILL DIE, JUST LIKE ANIMALS."
Psalm 49:16–20 (NLT)
• Since whatever you acquire in the world would not be taken with you when you died, and they would eventually be burnt with fire; why would you not consider living your life for God today that you might secure a place in the eternity of God's Kingdom (2 Peter 3:11).
- Take Note:
I. If you knew nothing will be carried away when you died: "AFTER ALL, WE DIDN'T BRING ANY MONEY WITH US WHEN WE CAME INTO THE WORLD, AND WE CAN'T CARRY AWAY A SINGLE PENNY WHEN WE DIE" (1 Timothy 6:7 the Living Bible);
II. And also, all you acquired in the world would be burnt:
10 BUT THE DAY OF THE LORD WILL COME AS UNEXPECTEDLY AS A THIEF. THEN THE HEAVENS WILL PASS AWAY WITH A TERRIBLE NOISE, AND THE VERY ELEMENTS THEMSELVES WILL DISAPPEAR IN FIRE, AND THE EARTH AND EVERYTHING ON IT WILL BE FOUND TO DESERVE JUDGMENT. 11 SINCE EVERYTHING AROUND US IS GOING TO BE DESTROYED LIKE THIS, WHAT HOLY AND GODLY LIVES YOU SHOULD LIVE" (2 Peter 3:10,11 NLT). - If nothing would be carried out of this world when you died, wisdom demands that you embrace God's way of redemption or salvation through Christ Jesus. If you did, you would have an assurance of heaven, and the opportunity of having whatever God might have ordained for you to have or get on the earth here (1 Timothy 6:19).
- The world may applaud your success, and you might consider yourself a great and fortunate person (Psalm 49:18); however, If you did not accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you have no hope of blissful eternity in God's Kingdom (Revelation 20:15; 21:27).
• Life after death is real. Your life after death would be spent somewhere, either in the eternal punishment, hell fire, or blissful eternal Kingdom of God.
- If you died without surrendering your life to Christ Jesus, you would be considered a fool, and likened to an animal:
12 BUT THEIR FAME WILL NOT LAST. THEY WILL DIE, JUST LIKE ANIMALS. 13 THIS IS THE FATE OF FOOLS, THOUGH THEY ARE REMEMBERED AS BEING WISE" (Psalm 49:12,13 NLT). - The people of the world would remember you for your achievements or successes, and call you a wise person, but If you died without Christ Jesus in your life, you are a fool in God's sight:
20 “BUT GOD SAID TO HIM, ‘YOU FOOL! YOU WILL DIE THIS VERY NIGHT. THEN WHO WILL GET EVERYTHING YOU WORKED FOR?’ 21 “YES, A PERSON IS A FOOL TO STORE UP EARTHLY WEALTH BUT NOT HAVE A RICH RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD" (Luke 12:20,21 NLT).
• What is it that is called the redemption or salvation of a person's life or soul?
- The Answer:
a. Man or every human was born in Sin (Psalm 51:5); "FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD" (Romans 3:23 ESV).
b. Thus, God made a provision of sacrifice in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ, that through His substitutionary sacrifice or death on the cross, the whole world would be reconciled to Himself, God (2 Corinthians 5:18,19,21).
c. Those who believe the good news, that Jesus Christ died as a substitution for them, to pay for their sins, would not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:15,16; Romans 10:9,10). - Thus, with this simple illustration, you would see that God has done His part to bring or reconcile every mankind to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:18-21).
- You are being implored today, do not waste or allow to slip by, the privilege of salvation which God has offered and made available for you through Christ Jesus:
1 WE WORK TOGETHER WITH GOD, AND WE BEG YOU TO MAKE GOOD USE OF GOD'S GIFT OF UNDESERVED GRACE. 2 IN THE SCRIPTURES GOD SAYS, “WHEN THE TIME CAME, I LISTENED TO YOU, AND WHEN YOU NEEDED HELP, I CAME TO SAVE YOU.” THAT TIME HAS COME. THIS IS THE DAY FOR YOU TO BE SAVED" (2 Corinthians 6:1,2 Contemporary English Version).
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- And As you are set free, made whole of the sickness, the Affliction will never rise again in Jesus' mighty name.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
