THINGS ARE DONE BY GOD CONDITIONALLY

3 ‘IF YOU WALK IN MY STATUTES AND KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, AND PERFORM THEM,
4 then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5 Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6 I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land.
7 You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you.
8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.
9 ‘For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you.
10 You shall eat the old harvest, and clear out the old because of the new.
11 I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you.
12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.
13 I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD, WHO BROUGHT YOU OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT, THAT YOU SHOULD NOT BE THEIR SLAVES; I HAVE BROKEN THE BANDS OF YOUR YOKE AND MADE YOU WALK UPRIGHT."
Leviticus 26:3-13 (NKJV)

It could be seen in the above passage of the Bible that God's ways and manners of doing things are conditional. In other words, whoever would be blessed by God would have to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments and perform them, before God's blessings or whatever would be given or done for him or her(Leviticus 26:3).

This shows us that God's blessings can be provoked as well as His wrath (Leviticus 26:14). If you are living right, in line with God's Word—His principles that are found in the Bible—you cannot but experience His favours and goodnesses. Through the passage we could see or deduce that:
a. Having results in whatever you are doing, all things being equal or to some extent, is a sign of God's goodness or favour.
If the people, the Israelites, walked or obeyed God's commandments or principles or Word, the works of their hands shall prosper—God will give rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. They would be fruitful (Leviticus 26:4,9).
b. There would be no time of lack. There would always be enough in their homes until the time of another harvest (Leviticus 26:5,10).
c. There would be eating to satisfaction and dwelling safely (Leviticus 26:5).
d. They would experience peace in the land (Leviticus 26:6).
e. The enemies would not prevail over them, because God would be their defence and fight their battles (Leviticus 26:7,8).
f. God would be their God and dwell with them. He would keep company with them and be their God (Leviticus 26:11,12).
g. They would not be in bondage or slavery to anyone (Leviticus 26:13).

In careful study and consideration, If the people of God, the Israelites, are living short of the standard set up in the above passage, that is, If they are not experiencing or enjoying the blessings shared or talked about in the above passage, It is an aberration—It means something has gone wrong in their walk with God.

God is not a user but a rewarder or a payer or a blesser of those who diligently serve or worship or follow and obey Him (Malachi 3:18; Hebrews 11:6). While in the other way round, If things are not going on well, It means God is not pleased with the person (Leviticus 26:14-16).

God's favour or shining countenance can be experienced through His benevolences or goodnesses or acts of generosities and kindnesses. Thus, when things are tough and rough financially, having myriads of problems and challenges, by a believer:
a. It could be a sign of God being angry with such a believer.
b. It could also be a sign of calling the attention of the believer to a thing that is wrong in his or her life that needed to be righted or rectified or straightened up.

The point being made is that the happenings or events in the life of a believer or around him or her contain messages from God, telling him or her something; either to affirm their good deeds and steadfastness, or to reprove or rebuke for the wrongs things they have done.

Through the happenings in your life, you can get to know God's mind about His mood or disposition or inclination or prevailing tendency to you or whatever you are doing.

• What is shared in summary is simply how handwritings on the wall are read. • How through premonitions you can get to know that something bad is about to happen or is already happening.
• A believer who has not grown to this point in his or her relationship with God is yet matured and such is still shallow in the understanding of the ways of God (Psalm 103:7).

You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Whatever is contrary to your health is cursed and you are made whole in Jesus' mighty name.
Peace.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
