[BOOK REVIEW] “Risky is the new safe” by Randy Gage (#challenge30days DAY 6)
This book is a wonderful choice in the light of the crypto and blockchain revolution.
Although there isn’t a word about cryptocurrency in it. The progenitor – Bitcoin was a baby by the time it was written. But it’s okay because the idea is always valid. If you want to survive and live a wealthy and joyful life, no matter when and where you are.
The core:
- Everything is constantly changing;
- When everybody tries to play safe you should think different and play it risky;
- In order to do it, you should think several moves ahead;
- And risk always means to be highly responsible for yourself and your actions;
- Selfishness is a virtue.
I love the last one. Not many people can get the idea behind it, namely that you can’t be sufficient in helping others without being (a little) selfish and take good care of yourself. (You can’t vote with high value on a post in Steemit if you do not have enough Steem Power, haha).
To be honest, you won’t find anything revolutionary on the pages. Almost everything is said and written many times. But you may have noticed that sometimes we need a brief and clear wording, a summary of all theories. I would say that’s the case with “Risky is the new safe”- it’s a smart quick-read in times of doubt.
This post is part of the writing #challenge30days – an initiative of @dragosroua (more HERE). This week my topic is “Risk”.
