What Makes a Good Story???

in #book8 years ago

From my experience not all stories are good. I think that a good story is somekind of a twist at the end or something like that, not all stories have that, which makes them BORING. The second thing that makes all the stories good is their characters. Last but not least, what makes a good story is if the story is funny or scary.

The first thing that makes up a good story is a twist at the end of the story. For example the movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has twist at the end of the movie. Han Solo (spoilers!) dies, and his own son kills him. You see we didn’t expect that and that makes a good story. The second thing that makes up a good story are the characters. If a character that is living in a garbage can and he is happy, that is just weird, so that wouldn’t make a good story. An example for this would be the, “Sleeping Beauty”, the reason for that is because in Sleeping Beauty, the princess doesn’t wake up and just say, “Guys, tell the prince to kiss me.” and then go back to sleep. The third thing that would make a good story is the setting of the story. In the movie “Star Wars The Force Awakens”, the setting is really amazing which makes the movie more interesting.

In conclusion, what makes a good story is the setting of the story, the characters of the story, and finally the twist at the end of the story. But it doesn’t has to be a profassional story. To begin all you need is an idea.

As reply to the question, I think is the story itself. Even if the characters and the setting are great but if the story is not well-written, then it's a flop. It's my opinion though ^^
