Do you want to do yourself a favor?
You know, in that self help kinda way?
Well, the thing that separates us from the gorillas and bears is that we can pass knowledge across our generations.
If it weren't for books, and maybe thumbs, we wouldn't have risen above subsistence so quickly.
We would still be having to pass knowledge through oral histories, and when you start talking about jsons, apis, metallurgy, chemistry, botany, etc, I think you can see how that would quickly break down.
You would have to be in the same room long enough to assimilate the knowledge with somebody that can lay it out to you in terms that you can understand.
Could you imagine trying to build a social ecosystem if everybody had to be in the loop to hear it audibly?
It would be impossibly complex, a logistical nightmare.
So, that being said I have two books to link you to that were instrumental in my self improvement.
I used to be a real jerk,...now, not so much,...believe it, or not,...0.o
The first book is pretty controversial, I'm betting most of you have heard of it.
Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
If you haven't read it, please keep your opinions to yourself, until you have.
This book, above all except the book that led me to it, set me on the path to who I am today.
After I read Dianetics I couldn't wait to get involved with more, the promises the book make are extraordinary.
If what it says is true, then it should have swept the world by now and we should live in a world free of crime, poverty, and war.
But,....
After getting my hands on all the materials I could read at home I finally made it to a mission.
Boy, was I disappointed.
Link to the book.
(source of pic)
The folks I met there had issues.
This led me to conclude that no matter how much education you can be given, if you don't get 'it', you just don't get it.
I wouldn't recommend having anything to do with the organization.
It was all about who could bring in the most money.
A most terrible way to run things.
However, I have never seen anything in the materials that I can refute.
I thought I had him at, 'support a good gov't', but he did say good.
The fact is that only one of the 194 axioms has done more for me, and those that have to be around me, than any other single influence in my life.
I know the links aren't there, anymore, the lawyers have been busy wiping links so that you can't access this knowledge without paying the church for it, but stss.nl can have it available, just not linkable.
The axiom is: Cause nothing that is difficult for another to experience.
It took me awhile to get my head around that, I had been led by the military, and my dad, to believe that ruling by force was the best way to go, it wasn't,....
I'm doing much better now that I accept people as they are and not as I prefer them.
Treating people as less than fully autonomous led to much emotional trauma for all of us.
This link will take you to an index of the materials you can access for free.
I recommend starting with the two titles above and continuing in chronological order, the books build on the ideas from the previous ones.
It is important that you define any words that you don't fully understand.
Not doing this will lead to confusion, and ultimately, the abandonment of the materials.
That is in one of the books, too.

It takes guts to post links to publications associated with an organization like that. Very few people have the ability to take in knowledge without judgment. One thing I've learned in the last couple years as I dove head-first into information kept hidden from us is you have to have an open mind and think about the concepts rather than who are they are coming from. We are so programmed to be concerned with who is giving us the message rather than the message itself. Truth is truth no matter how wonderful or horrible we view a source to be.
As always thank you for sharing information and helping us all to expand our minds and become smarter more mature thinkers.

Yes, years ago when i first came into contact with the books, i asked my dad what he knew about it.
He quoted a 60 minutes hit piece.
The tech was vilified to help the nightly news beliebers to reject it.
It worked.
If you read the material, you will have to decide for you what is true for you.
It says that in one of the books.
It's only true if it is true for you.
I do know life has gotten easier for me once i started applying the things i learned.
Would you take a bowl of soup from a stranger which you just saw on the street?
Chances are yes...most people freely offering gods and services are not intending harm. There is a difference between a message of words and a physical bowl of soup. The soup is given with compassion. A message is given with thoughts.
That being said before I just started eating up the soup I would probably invest a little bit of my time talking to the person and listening to his or her messages to determine whether or not I should eat the physical bowl of soup.

i remember finding dianetics very interesting.
it makes me think someone knows these powerful tools, but put them into scientology, and then locked them there.
anyone trying to use them is immediately associated with them, and ridiculed.
such is the strategies of the darkside.
I think ron developed the tools, but fell afoul of the folks that put the bush/clinton crime family in power.
They stole his tech and forced him to live at sea for a decade.
That the press did hit jobs on him tells me he could be right.
If you haven't read science of survival, it is much more polished than dianetics.
A tech manual to dianetics engineering drafts.
thanks for the advice, but I have found God inside myself.. I do thank Dianetics/L. Ron Hubbard for their part in helping me find a mental understanding of how emotional trauma is stored, and how it can be remove, and what it is like when it is removed.
in reading Science of Survival I am immediately struck with the lack of God, but of course Science! but to me, Faith isn't just wishful thinking, true Faith is life changing as you see it in the world and in your experience.. your life changes.
I don't know where you stand on that, but I know those that wish not to see God, or don't think they will, don't. I find that to be the most telling sign, because my view (as i see it) encompasses all possibilities and allows for all things that we see.
They say you got to believe what you believe to be true, otherwise it isn't, for you.
Me, I'm waiting to find out.
In the final seconds of my life i believe total enlightenment will pass through my mind.
So, at least, i got that going for me.
The structure helped me put some things in better order, too.
I should take the time to run through sos again, but haven't made the time lately.
First two books you recommend are not accessible. The links are broken.

Yes, i know.
You'll have to use the other links and look for the titles.
Stinking lawyers forced the links to be broken.
