Switch Boot Sector off / Bootable to inactive on Hard Drive (Automation Problems)
Been having an issue with a boot sector on an external hard drive,
the electricity goes out here often (up to 50% / 12 hours per day),
have the rig / media center / production tower set to A/C always on;
The 🐻's TerraFirma🌍 was getting stuck on the media center due to a blank boot sector, she wants it to always be turned on into linux feather: It's a thin-client and the bios is very limited, I didn't have to search for Google for long and found this simple to disable the boot feature on the hard drive by setting the bootable switch to inactive:
"
Your Disk 0 partition 1 (Storage E:) is still has the Active flag enabled.. This is the cause of the problem. You have to remove the active flag from that partition as follows:
Open up cmd as administrator.
Type diskpart and hit enter
Type list disk and enter
Type select disk 0 and enter
Type list partition and enter
Type select partition 1 and enter
Type inactive and enter
Type exit"

Thin Client:
"A thin client is a lightweight computer that has been optimized for establishing a remote connection with a server-based computing environment. The server does most of the work, which can include launching software programs, performing calculations, and storing data. Wikipedia"
We are selling another Thin Client if anyone is interest, please send us a memo or come dig up some dirt on our discord server: https://discord.gg/W6TamHy
