I don't mind being snowed in and sometimes I am for quite sometime until I get to a real road. I'm pretty isolated without being snowed in. There is no traffic or house's near me at all year round.
Come Winter I have keep extra supplies. Even if it's not snowing and it get really windy I get big snow drifts that are often worse than a big snowstorm itself.

I'm a bit envious! I could very much enjoy living as you do. Wish I would have done it while I was able.
