It's A Bird......It's A Plane.................. NW Cascade Wanderings
….it’s neither! It’s a PPG! Okay, so the first pic is a plane, however this one, and you’ll have to look closely, is not!
We had been out doing a little shopping for our Secret Santa folks and had stopped at Starbucks. Upon parking the car, I looked up and notice these, what I thought were paragliders. Getting out of the car, I could hear the unmistakable sound of their motors as they flew this way and that! Hence the name PPG-powered paraglider.
All I could think about though was how cold that had to be! It’s damp here which makes it feel colder than it is. Now go up in altitude a bit, add no cockpit surrounding you and winds out of the northeast-that typical Nor’easter we get-and it HAD to be cold!🥶
I think opting for hot coffee and a pastry indoors was a much better plan!
Afterwards, a few more purchases for our Secret Santas and then headed home. This was the view in the sky upon exiting the store.
My steps for today:
I guess that’s gonna be about all for today. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

NKJV Genesis 1:1-5
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Wow, @elizabethbit! This post is a delightful mix of everyday wonder and festive cheer. Those PPGs are such an unexpected sight – thanks for capturing them and sharing the experience. I can practically feel the cold you were describing; hot coffee and a pastry definitely sound like the superior choice!
I especially appreciate how you weave in your Secret Santa shopping, the stunning sky views, and your daily steps, making it a personal and engaging glimpse into your day. Plus, the inclusion of the Genesis verse and your fun comic-style image adds even more depth. Thanks for sharing your day and inspiring us to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. Keep up the great work!
