July-uary?!……….……...North Cascade Wanderings

July-uary?! Just what is that?! Well, around here usually in the month of June, if it’s cold and rainy, we refer to the month as June-uary as it’s mimicking our fall/winter months here in the Pacific Northwest. This past June-not June-uary. However for the first time I’m aware of, we are having July-uary!! Very strange, indeed!

It’s cold enough for jackets and it’s cloudy, gloomy and at times, a bit of rain falls or a mist. Definitely NOT normal July weather!

I am not overly unhappy with this as usually July is when the heat and humidity get turned on and I find THAT intolerable!

It does, I’m sure make it difficult for the hay farmers to get the hay cut and baled. I know of two fields of wheat that are golden and ready to be harvested. Not the best weather for that either. However, the flowers love it!

You don’t have to worry about watering the garden! It also can make for interesting photos!

Work today was like a day in the Twilight Zone. We were busy and things seemed a hair off for all of us including the doc. I’m glad tomorrow will be slower although I’ve got training to see to with our newest employee.
