Thursday Bits............. NW Cascade Wanderings
Isn’t that sunset gorgeous? Especially if you ignore the mail trucks, my car, the parking lot, and replace it with a sandy beach! Well regardless, I found it pretty stunning!
On the flip side, at the same time, there was this……
Isn’t there some folk tale about the sun and moon both being present in the sky at the same time? Hmmmm…. I might have to look into that!
Today was just another busy day at the clinic. No appointments until 1:30, but I had plenty to entertain myself with for sure. I got busier when the patients began arriving!
More evening shots; some geese flying south.
The sun gave a view of their bellies as they flew-one you normally cannot discern.
I stopped to return a book to the library and saw these in the yard of the library. They look like they’ve been nipped by Jack Frost just a bit.
Once home, @silvertop had a fire going in the wood stove. After I made coffees, I came around the doorway to find this:
Lazy pyro boys!
Some nice fall contrasts.
My steps for the day:
Tomorrow is Friday! Nice! 😎 I’m going to enjoy the end of the day! 😇
That’s gonna be all for today. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

NKJV Psalm 46:4-7
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,
The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved;
He uttered His voice, the earth melted.
The LORD of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge.

@elizabethbit, your post is a delightful breath of fresh air! Those sunset and moon shots are absolutely captivating – even with the "imperfect" surroundings, you've managed to capture something truly beautiful. I especially love the geese in flight with the sun highlighting their bellies - a perspective we rarely get to see!
And the fall foliage at the library? Stunning! It's wonderful how you find beauty in everyday moments and share it with us. Your walk is impressive, and those lazy "pyro boys" are adorable! This post is a perfect example of finding joy in the simple things. Thanks for sharing your day with us and ending it with an inspiring verse. What folk tale did you discover about the sun and moon?
