Spring is in full force today, we hit a high in the foothills of 61 degrees Fahrenheit, and I’m sure it’s warmer down the valley!😅
For the first time this year, Silvertop hiked in shorts and a T-shirt, soaking up the vitamin D!😎
In the Pacific Northwest, many people suffer from a deficiency of vitamin D throughout the dark winter days…🙄
Vitamin D supplements, get us through the winter, but there’s nothing like natural UVB from the sun!😎
I followed Keith and Lynne’s mile long gravel driveway today up to the forest trailhead!😊
See how the underbrush is the first to “Green up”!
The tree canopy is loaded with buds just waiting to explode into full sized leaves!
We grow them big in the Northwest, a large percentage of the deciduous trees are Big Leaf Maple, and BIG they are Lol!😇
I ask ChatGPT how big can a Big Leaf Maple leaf get?

Needless to say, because of their massive size, they produce a cool forest canopy, that is most welcome on a hot summer day!
