“Liz… it’s a good thing I left my Bear spray at home!”😇
Security at the 2026 Northwest Washington Fair was tight………..they were searching bags at all entrance gates!😮
Apparently there was a shooting at a Country Fair down South by Seattle, and they were afraid of a repeat at our local Fair this year!😳
Joey…. In the first two photos, actually had his shirts made up as a joke, that had nothing to do with the actual shootings down south Lol!😇
Joey, is my oldest son’s Father in Law!
He and his Wife have been in charge of the “Rabbit Barn” at the Fair for many years!
They put in long hours during the ten days the Northwest Washington Fair is open each year!😅
“Silvertop we got here extra early this morning at 6:30 AM!”☺️
Some years it’s extremely HOT!🥵
This year it was Sunny and in the mid 70’s😎
So much to see and do, Silvertop will call this Post “Part One”, I have so much more to share!😊
We arrived before many of the vendors even opened their booths for the day…………….
“Liz, it’s nice to beat the crowds!”🤗
The Fair runs till 10PM each night, and the crowds usually don’t start until well past Noon!😇
With the cooler temperatures this year, many of the animals were much more active!
When we checked out one of the horse barns, “Diamond” a beautiful 15 “Hands” tall white/ gray Arabian was violently kicking the walls of his stall!😳
Apparently, one of his buddy horses was moved to one of the arenas, and “Diamond” was protesting!😬
The owner, a small teenage girl, opened the stall door, as Diamond continued to try to remove the walls of his small stall!😮
“Diamond…. STOP THAT”, she told this Arabian horse that towered over her!
“Silvertop, we had three horses, including one papered Arabian, and I wouldn’t walk into that tiny stall, when her horse was so upset!”😬
By 4:30 PM the crowds had arrived…….
We were dodging people………….
“Liz today was a very nice day with my best friend, are you ready to leave!”😍
“I think we have seen everything Silvertop, and the temperature is starting to heat up as well!”🥵
Chalk up another fun, Northwest Washington Fair for the books!🤗
