Despite the fact that BTC-e has informed all that Alexander Vinnik was never an admin employee the FBI continues to harass and extort money from innocent people.
BTC-e cryptocurrency exchange downtime was the result of the FBI according to unnamed person from btc-e they stated that the “FBI agents entering its data center.”

Posting in Russian on BitcoinTalk this Monday July 31st, 2017, BTC-e, which has been down for almost a week, said it had struggled for six days to get answers from its hosting provider.

BTC-e also posted with a statement that Alexander Vinnik, the Russian citizen arrested in Greece last week on money laundering charges, had “never been in charge of” the service.

“Future updates will include information about what options we have for restoring the service and how to regain control of our reserve funds,” it continued, adding the FBI had gained control of domains where its wallets are located July 25.

“If we cannot restart our service by the end of Aug, we’ll begin returning funds from Sept. 1.”

Highly unlikely they will return with everyone's funds, the FBI is not going to apologize and return everything back to their rightful owners. Even when mistakes are made BTC-e will have to go through the judicial system to prove no wrong doing.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission announced last week it was seeking $110 million from BTC-e for not complying to anti-money laundering rules.

This is true since they didn't comply and request a simply KYC from customers which would have avoided this situation.

Previous updates on Twitter had suggested normal service would resume by Aug. 6, but this now appears to be considerably less likely.

“In the coming one to two weeks we’ll be assessing and publishing information about the amount of funds now in the hands of the FBI and the amount available for returning to customers,” the post confirmed.

We will lucky to receive 10% of our funds, its tough to let go, though when your holding on to hope. Once you let go of hope you can heal from this horrible outcome. Apparently the servers where in New York. I ask why? If the coins where moved and they backed up their servers somewhere else then there shouldn't be issues receiving more then half our funds.
