Unless something goes terribly wrong with the upcoming BTC hard fork, there's no way ETH will come on up soon.
But personally, in an year or two at most, ETH will surpass BTC in the market cap. They're not exactly competitors since ETH's platform is something of another level altogether. The ETH coin is there just as an incentive to keep the miners to contribute processing power!
