Hello friends, how are you all? I am happy to participate in the third week of the engagement challenge ''SLC S21W3 / Traditional Games''. First of all thanks to our dear teacher through whom we can know and learn about traditional games. During the second week, I participated and learned a lot. Today I am in for the third week of participation SLC S21W3 / Traditional Games. Our teacher @anailuj1992 knows that children's activities are very important and beneficial. I am very happy to participate in this third engagement challenge. So, let's start.
What is the name of the traditional game you selected? In your own words, explain How to Play. 2 point
The games I have selected are
- pen tap,
- kanamachi vo vo and
- hide and seek.
We also played these games as children. I played these games with my kids today. The game with the pen can be played by two people. Both of them have to put two pens on the table and tap on the pen with their fingers. One taps the other's pen off the table. Whoever can put down the pen first will be the winner. My son and daughter played this game well with their fingers. Then the game we played was Kanamachi Vo Bo. To play this game you have to be a thief and have a few people standing by your side. The would-be thief is blindfolded with a cloth and then played. I blindfolded my son when he became a thief. He walked around with his eyes closed. We were out of his reach. But he was very upset when he couldn't catch anyone. So I caught him. While playing the Kanamachi Bhombo game, if the person whose eyes are blocked is touched from behind or touched from the front, he gets the idea to go forward and catch another person. The last game was called hide and seek. We played hide and seek inside the house. We played this game hiding in every corner of the house and behind the door. When I became a thief I found my children easily. They had a lot of fun playing this game. My son was hiding behind the door in a room with the lights off, I saw him then he screamed and I took a picture of him. To play this game, you need a place where no one can easily find you. If you play indoors, place it under a corner table or somewhere where no one can easily find it. You have to hide in such a place.
What are your rules? Did you make any changes to the rules at your convenience? 1 Point
The first game I played was to be played with a pen. One pen should be broken and another pen should be thrown on the ground. The cloth should be tied between the eyes while playing Kanamachi. This cloth should be tied in such a way that the person whose eyes are obstructed cannot see anything. During the game of hide-and-seek, the would-be thief should close his eyes and put his head against the wall. Then everyone has to hide inside counting from one to ten. We played according to the rules of these games. Only I did not squeeze the cloth I had tied around my eyes while playing Kanamachi Vo Vo. I tied it loosely and blindfolded the children so that they could see down. We played this game indoors. So that they don't get hurt by stepping on any furniture in the house. That's why I have changed this rule for our convenience. Moreover, the remaining two games we played did not bring any change in the game.
Of the characteristics of the traditional games that we have discussed, which ones do you consider to be present in the traditional game you chose? 1 point
Yes, the characteristics of traditional games that you have discussed are present in my selection of games. 1. This game was once played outside in the open field. When there was no age of technology, many children used to gather together. These games were played together on a big field. Now we have to play hide and seek inside the house. Everyone stays indoors. The environment where all the children gather together to go out and play is not the same as before.
- There are no hard rules in our selected games. The rules of these games are very simple.
- We don't need any complicated equipment in this game. Played with a normal pen. We didn't need anything to play the other two games.
- Our games can be played anywhere anytime.
- These games involve body movement.
Did the children have fun? Share your experience playing with them in this traditional game. Feel free to tell us about the best moments you experienced during the activity. 4 Points
Yes, my kids had a lot of fun playing these games. We finished our lunch and started playing. It was evening for us to finish the game. Playing Kanamachi was very fun. Again and again, my son caught me. But his sister did not catch him. My daughter is very clever and has not been a thief for once. I was a thief twice. While playing kalam tuka, two pens often fell together on the ground. They would get up and start playing again. This game was played only by both of them and I did not participate in it. I taught them this game. The most fun game was the game of hide and seek. In this game, the children try to hide under the sofa under the table in all corners of the room. When I was hiding I could only hide behind the door. The funniest picture in the game was my son. When I found him he screamed so loud when he saw me I was scared. Then we all laughed a lot together. Spent a lot of fun time with my kids while playing this traditional game. They loved playing with me. After I played with them, I got an experience that children like it a lot if mothers spend some time playing with them. They are very happy when their mother gives them time. I don't play much with my kids. But here I am playing these games with my kids, and they are very happy. I also enjoyed spending quality time with the kids and playing sports.
