One of the most popular and beautiful winter flowering plants
Petunia is primarily a South American plant, but it can now be seen on the balcony of every home in India. Its funnel-shaped flowers come in almost every color—white, pink, red, purple, yellow, and even striped multicolors.
Its large flowers are perfect for pots or hanging baskets. Their flowers are small but numerous. They can withstand intense sunlight and rain well. To grow and keep petunias healthy, keep a few important things in mind: They prefer well-draining soil. When preparing the soil, a mixture of 50% soil, 30% compost or vermicompost, and 20% sand is best.
Sunlight: This plant needs abundant sunlight. For optimal flowering, it should receive 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Water: Water only when the top surface of the soil is dry. Overwatering can cause root rot. While watering, take care that water does not fall on the flowers and leaves, otherwise fungus may develop.
