"SLC21/WK6: Summary on Lessons so far [Hands-on Practical]

I'll step by step discuss and will give a detailed overview at season 21 all weeks module in my participation.

Week 1 hands on practice

Gradient

Gradient was topic I learned in week 1 in which I learned that gradient us transition in between two or more colors.The more the shades of colours merge perfectly with eachother,the more the gradient will be perfect.Gradient is useful for adding beauty and eye captivating attention for customers.

Typogradient

Typogradient meaning a graphic design in which we are combining typography with gradient due to which logo design of typography becomes more visually appealing.Dimension and depth adding in typography for attracting customers is is purpose.

Now let's have a comprehensive look at hands on practice.

• Open CANVA app.
• Choose 1080×1080 size or dimension for creating gradient and open it.
• Go to apps which is locating in bottom.
• From search icon search for gradient.
• Sky blue colour was already present there.
• I click on adding new stop.
• I got pink colour so I adjust both of them with suitable weightage.

• This is final look of linear two colour gradient.
• Let's move forward to learn radial gradient.

• Open CANVA app.
• Choose 1080×1080 size or dimension for creating gradient and open it.
• Go to apps which is locating in bottom.
• From search icon search for gradient.

• Repeat whole process highlighted above.
• New add new stops and select colours of your choice.

• I have choosed pink,red and purple colours and adjust their weightage as it was suitable.
• At top there is an option to change it into radial so I converted this gradient into radial and then click on add to design.

• This is finally a radial gradient j created.
• Now let's have a look on creating an angular gradient.

• Open CANVA app.
• Choose 1080×1080 size or dimension for creating gradient and open it.
• Go to apps which is locating in bottom.
• From search icon search for gradient.

• Repeat whole process highlighted above.
• New add new stops and select colours of your choice.
• I have choosed levander, purple and pink colours and adjust their weightage as it was suitable.
• At top there is an option to change it into angular so I converted this gradient into angular and then click on add to design.

• This is final look of angular momentum gradient created by me.

• Now let's have a look at practical of typogradient.

• Open CANVA app.
• Choose 1080×1080 size or dimension for creating gradient and open it.
• Go to apps which is locating in bottom.
• From search icon search for typogradient.

• Now write text in box whatever you want.
• I wrote Hands on practical.
• I selected pink colour to merge with blue and see these are properly smooth with each other.
• Now I add it to design.

• This is final look of my TYPOGRADIENT.

Week 2 hands on practice

Logo design

Logo design was week 2 topic I learned in week 2 so logo design is visually representation of specific company or brand through which customers can recognize a brand.Not only this I have also learned about logo design principles.Lets discuss some of principles;

• There should be simplicity, uniqueness, versatility in logo design.
• There should be equal weightage of all elements in logo design.
• There should be proper hierarchy in a logo design.
• There should be relevancy of icon or symbol or typography with your brand, company etc.
• There should be proper color usage by keeping in mind color theory.
• There should be a contrast in logo design you are creating for making it more appealing visually.

Now have a look at hands on practical of it...

• Open CANVA app.
• Choose 1080×1080 size or dimension and choose app locating in bottom.
• From search icon search for food or spice.
• Select any suitable element from there and add it to page.
• In this logo designing I added one more element in page because I am creating an iconic logo design.

• I made adjustments and see my iconic logo is much unique and simple as well as easy to remember in which red chilli is surrounding plate of spicy food so it seems that this brand is related to spicy food.

Week 3 hands on practice

Logo design types

Logo design types with hands on practice was part of 3rd week of 21 season so let's have a look at logo design types as about logo design and principles I have already made a comprehensive discussion.

√ An iconic logo design is showing by its name that it will contain a unique symbol or icon just for showing brand identification e.g; Nike
√ A combination mark logo design will be that which include combination of both icon and typography.
√ An emblem logo design will be that in which symbol or text will be enclosed in a shape or boundary e.g; Starbucks.
√ An abstract logo design will be that which will not show particular object,it will be random unique design like Pepsi.
√ A dynamic logo design will be that which have ability to adaption according to a specific event or environment.
√ A kinetic logo design will be that which shows movements when observed from different angles.

• Here is Iconic logo design I am sharing;

• Choose 1080×1080 size or dimension and open it.
• Go to elements which is locating in bottom.
• From search icon search for food or spice.
• Select any suitable element from there and add it to page.
• In this logo designing I added one more element in page because I am creating an iconic logo design.

• Now let's have a look at combination mark logo design.

• Open CANVA app.
• Choose 1080×1080 size or dimension and open it.
• Go to elements which is locating in bottom.
• From search icon search for food or spice.
• Select any suitable element from there and add it to page.
• In this logo designing,I need to add text too in which there will be brand name and little description about brand.
• Brand name is SPICE ARENA written in League Spartan font size and description is Blending species with modern tastes is written in brithray font.

• This is final look of combination mark logo design.

Week 4 hands on practice

Mockups

Mockups was another graphic design topic I learned in week 4 so Mockup is all about to show your designs in real world so there can be 3D images in which you can put any of your design created and it will be called as your mockup design.

Mockups are of different types;

√ There are mockups which shows logo design at different backgrounds called logo mockups.
√ There are mockups which shows branding elements at business cards called business card mockups.
√ There are mockups which shows branding elements at social media websites and these are digital mockups.
√ There are mockups which shows branding elements at letterforms, newspaper etc and these are stationary mockups.

Now let's have a look at hands on practice.

• Open CANVA app.
• Choose 1080×1080 size or dimension and open it.
• Go to apps which is locating in bottom.
• From search icon search mockup
• Select any suitable mock-up from there and add it to page.
• Adjust mockup in page.

• Locate gallery and choose design you want to add in mockup.
• I have choosed logo design made by me and cluck on add to page.

• This is mockup design I got finally.

Week 5 hands on practice

Flyer design is promotional design or material used for advertising of your brand or product through seeking attention of customers so it's important to work on its simplicity, asthetics etc.

Let's have a practical look at creation of flyer design;

• Open CANVA app.
• Choose poster size or dimension and open it.
• I give lavender or light purple shade to poster.
• Go to elements which is locating in bottom.
• From search icon search for food or spice.
• Select any suitable element from there and add it to page.
• I selected an element and add it to page and again I go to elements from where I selected a circular frame.
• I added my logo in circular frame and keep it at top right corner of poster.

• I locate elements and choosed an announcement element for adding it to page top.
• I wrote free beverages with menu as special offer and for giving it prominancy add it on top.
• I wrote brand name and description at below my main element that is added already with league Spartan and brithray font style respectively.

• I locate elements and searched for spice and add chilli element in bottom right of poster for writing an attractive inviting slogan for customers which was feel the spice.
• I keep font colours red everywhere in design.
• I added main details in center of poster including menu and location at end of poster to making flyer design more visually appealing.

• This is final look of poster design.
• Now let's have a look that how it looks after adjusting it into mockup.

• Open CANVA app.
• Choose 1080×1080 size or dimension and open it.
• Go to apps which is locating in bottom.
• From search icon search mockup
• Select any suitable mock-up from there and add it to page.
• Adjust mockup in page.

• Follow above mentioned things.
• Go to gallery and choose flyer design and select add to design.
• You can see that how flyer design is looking finally into billboard mockup.
