First Post on Steemit...

in #bushcraft7 years ago

Hello all,

I'm starting things off with a brief introduction and purpose for my page. I'm an average man somewhere in the USA, who has decided to learn how to do things the old way. I'd like to bring you along on the journey...

I'll be focusing on bushcraft and primitive skills, with some gear testing along the way and who knows what else. I started learning bushcraft a few months ago with no real experience and quickly got hooked on the outdoors. My hope is to share my experiences with all of you and try my best to save anyone who listens from some of my pitfalls!

Please enjoy and lets all learn together!!

Welcome to Steemit. I'm sure folks will enjoy learning with you as learn more about bushcraft. I've family running this company Woodsmoke in the UK so I've been around the margins since I was a teenager. I think it has great potential for people to form a relationship with the environment and heal some of the alienation that we experience through capitalist society. Also it's great fun!

Wow, awesome site! I'll be following you now.

Oh, he he, except can't really promise to be blogging on any bushcrafty stuff in all fairness, that's kind of my brother's domain. However I will be doing things on nature connection and wild foods so of course they fall among the spokes of bushcraft!

Either way, I'm a nature guy.

I've noticed an increase of people who are learning and living by the primitive and bushcraft way of life.

I belong to a community here on steemit of homesteaders and we are constantly learning new skills of the forgotten yesteryear.

Looking forward to more of your posts.

Thank you! Homesteading/Permaculture is another passion of mine, one of the reason I started bushcrafting.
