Be careful about general statements. Not all gurus breaks the rules just like not all normal people break the rules. Besides what is the purpose of having multiple profiles when you can legally create multiple fan pages and groups to promote any business you have?
Black Hat Forums arent the only places that you can go to ask questions. There are tons of legitimate forums where you can get your questions asked. Besides using proxies for some things can get you in trouble should you get caught. It's not worth in the end. True IM is about building long term wealth, in order to do that you have to do things the right way.
