Being your own boss
I hate putting things on hold and my other business has been closed for the holidays for nearly 2 weeks. I have kept myself busy doing other things, but this is where my passion lies. I bought a safe some months ago ,now I plan to fill it.
I have been planning my new business for a few years now and seeing it grow into something is like having a child. This is my baby now and plan to feed it that it gets fat and healthy and continues to grow. Working for yourself comes with all the risks ,but also the rewards. I just wish I had found something like this years ago.
When working for others all you are doing is giving yourself security and a limited paycheck. It is stable and all you are doing is making the owners richer through your hard work and dedication. What I was earning before I can now earn in one or two days and only have to answer to my business partner and myself.
Having the same goals and a strong understanding between us has helped. I have known him for over 10 years and knowing how the other one thinks has helped. I think I have shocked him as I put this proposal to him many years ago and now he has seen how good the idea was.
I am like a kid before Christmas as tomorrow I am popping in to my biggest client to see what has been sold and more importantly to fetch the next order. This year will be a good year and plan to start the first day running and ready for whatever lies ahead. I plan to have fun this year enjoying my life to the max.

I presume we will find out more about what the business entails in a later episode? Or did i read too fast and it is actually in there?
I have mentioned before but will do another post explaining how I went about it and knew it would be a hit. I teamed up with one of my suppliers over the last 10 years. He was only in the Natal region and talked him into expanding to Johannesburg. I have joined him and he is now moving to Johannesburg as well. The business is packaging materials concentrating on consumables for warehouses.
While I wish you great success in your business I think what you state about jobs is untrue and unfair. I am now also self-employed but I worked for years and I didn't just make others rich, I gained needed skills, built relationships, built a retirement fund, and financed a company my husband was starting. There are many who create success via jobs and job experience. (sorry, if I sound defensive I really dislike the current culture of people hating jobs... Many jobs are awesome!
I applaud business owners and those who are equipped to run businesses, but not everyone is! :)
Best of luck and I love that you are looking forward to tomorrow. :)
I agree with what you are saying. I have gained many skills over the years working for others and without those I wouldn't be equipped.
It is time though to do my own thing as I have outgrown what I have been doing and just needed something that was right for me.
Howdy sir cryptoandcoffee! Hey is this business the bicycle business or is it something else?
Hi Janton. Something else involving manufacturing and supplying packaging materials for warehousing and distribution.
howdy sir cryptoandcoffee! ok, and this is a new business that you are running with someone else. Does that mean you own part of it?
Yes. Just the Johannesburg region for now though. I cannot expect to take the cut from Natal where they have been operating for years.Time will tell though and I am hopeful for a percentage of the entire company.
yes sir cryptoandcoffee with your experience and giftedness in business it won't be long!
I don't think so either. I have targeted doubling the wholesalers turnover this year by helping them grow their customer base. It should be simple working closely together.
sir cryptoandcoffee..doubling? holy moly I can see some big raises coming your way or big shares..well earned too!
Go for it.
All the best!
Good Luck! I know that has to be exciting. Hope it all goes as you need it too.
Indeed, Self employment rewards best despite the risks involved. But life itself can be divorced from risks.
Go ahead and take charge of a new experience in business world . We are with you!!
