The First Blockchain Book Written For Chief Marketing Officers
Newspapers, radio, TV, Internet, social, and mobile all had a dramatic impact on the practice and execution of marketing.
What about blockchains?
To begin to answer that question, I wrote The CMO Primer For The Blockchain World: How This “Trust Machine” Impacts Branding, Customer Experience, Advertising and Much More which is released today (it’s FREE).
The e-book has forewords from Jeremy Skule, CMO of Nasdaq, and Rishi Dave, CMO of Dun & Bradstreet.
These are two of the most forward-thinking Chief Marketing Officers around. They recognize how important blockchains will be.
According to HBR, “80% of CEOs don’t trust or are unimpressed with their CMOs. This e-book is meant to help fix that…at least a little bit. The goal is to enable today’s and tomorrow’s Chief Marketing Officers to get ahead and become the strategic visionary and partner that companies need.
Because blockchains are a BIG deal.
To round out the e-book, we also have perspectives from some top thought leaders such as Kalin Nicolov and Greg Damus of The Gathering as well as some emerging vendors in the space including MetaX, NYIAX, MadHive, and Loyyal.
Beyond that, the 65+ page e-book explores 7 marketing areas:
– Customer Experience
– Branding
– Advertising
– Commerce and Sales
– Loyalty
– Data
– Management & Leadership
There is a lot here and there is a lot more to explore, but it is a start.
Any time you embark on a project of this magnitude, you take a risk. It is scary to put yourself out there, especially on something as new as this.
However, I need to practice what I preach. Get out of the comfort zone. I certainly don’t have all the answers.
It is my hope that you will take the time to read the e-book and offer your comments and criticisms so that we can all begin to understand the decentralized future a little bit better.

A Word of Thanks
Big thanks to some of my key reviewers whom I call the “Microsoft Marketing Mafia” of Paul Johnson, Abe Pachikara, and Will Knight for helping to make this much better and making me feel like I am not insane. Also, big shout out to Jay Baer, Brent Leary, and Stan Phelps for their observations and comments as well.
I'm half way through - so far, superb!
