Whether you are an accountant, stockbroker or a lifeguard, I'm sure you've come to hate or dislike your job. I say this because if you have any normal job position, chances are you work 40 hours a week in a set location. I have worked these jobs and I can attest that they are Extremely boring. I wouldn't wish the 9-5 lifestyle on my worst enemy.

In order to escape this 9-5 job environment, you have to figure out a viable business model to start for yourself. One of these methods is known as arbitrage. You may ask, "What in the world is that?" Arbitrage, in simple terms, is taking advantage of price differences. SO in this method, I will be explaining how to do this with e-commerce.

E-commerce is simply selling products online. In this case we will use a process known as dropshipping. Dropshipping is where we find in-demand products and sell them without ever having to buy any products upfront. Once you find a cheap manufacturer that has the products you want to sell, you can proceed to list your products on a website. Now the final formula is sending traffic to your website so people can purchase the products you are selling.

You make money from dropshipping from the price difference of what you sold it for to the customer and what the manufacturer is selling it at. One of the most popular sites where people do this aliexpress.com where they have thousands of products listed for very cheap.

Pros Of Dropshipping

Small upfront investment (Website & Traffic).
Little risk since you never buy the products. You are the middleman in this case.

Cons of Dropshipping

You don't build a strong brand as if you were branding/creating products.
LONG shipping times of up to 4 weeks or even more depending on where the customer lives.
Becoming Saturated. A lot of people try to do this.

Conclusion

I personally began E-commerce with drop shipping so I could get a feel for the online industry and think it is a great place to start. I have seen many drop shipping companies do 6 figures per month and I have seen many others make no sales. Thus, your success is dependent on how informed you are on several topics such as advertising.

Once you have experimented with dropshipping, then in my opinion it would be strategic to make your own e-commerce brand that either private labels their products or innovates and creates them. By branding and creating products, an e-commerce brand can develop itself more as a business and develop a strong customer base.

No matter what you end up choosing to do, it is no secret that more and more people are using the internet to purchase goods. A rising demand means there is a business opportunity in the industry.
