I love teaching communication as it relates to business. I specialize in teaching foreigners business english. I love to teach, so here it goes. Let's talk about negotiations as you may want to learn how to negotiate in English. I am going to teach you some phrases that will work, and will work functionally well in business conversations. In terms of teaching english to call centers I am amazing at helping others learn call center communication for the technology industry. So, let's get started shall we?

Negotiation

• Let’s talk further about the situation and come up with a solution that we are both happy with. I do not want either of us to agree to anything that does not satisfy both our needs.

• What goals do you have for today?

• How would you like to see this discussion turn out?

• Let’s talk specifics and see if there is a way we can make this work.

• In my view, a fair solution would be...

• Do you have any concerns with this proposal?

• Based on my research your offer seems out of range.

• I cannot come close to that because of the cost involved.

• How did you arrive at that figure? This means how did they get to that number that they are offering you?

• If you were in my seat would you consider that a reasonable offer?

• While I agree on the whole, I have trouble agreeing with the point about...

• This is outside of the scope that we discussed. A scope is an agreed range of information that you have previously agreed upon.

Take these and practice 1 a week. I feel they will help you negotiate better in english. If you are a business that needs to business english. Please let me know. Just use one of these a week in the context, and practice it with someone you know.

We must take a solid look at the importance idea of negotiation in business. This is because we don’t know what might be possible. In addition, the other party (such as a boss who hasn’t given you a raise in two years) may appear to have no incentives to negotiate with you, leaving it up to you to start the conversation. You must always gather information about what you are trying to negotiate because this will give you leverage.
