RE: Freewrite Day 492 Double Crossed

in #busy7 years ago

Wow! You will probably laugh at this, but, I never have .25 steem left over. Silly, right? Well, I don't have much SP, but, I don't grow very much or fast because all of my available cash goes into tip money. Especially on #MarketFriday, if I have 25 people post, which sometimes there is more, I tip them on my post and theirs so that is 50 tips alone and then there are always comments on it, so that may be another small bunch.. it adds up and then I usually post every single day and yes, it has become habit to tip everyone.

I sometimes wonder if that small tip means anything or am I just wasting my money?

That is a tough one to answer. I don't know. It feels good to do it, but, if it is a waste of $$ - I don't want to do that either. Right?

Oh, decisions, decisions!!

Sort:

You are one of a few people who tips me, and I totally appreciate it each time. I have on my list to look into it for myself since my vote also is not worth much.

At the moment, I lease delegated sp with steem and also power down each week to live off the cash. I also post a lot more than you on two blogs, so we have different paradigms here.

But wow! That is a lot of tipping!

Well, that is actually nice to hear. I know people thank me, but, I never knew if it was the gesture of if they really liked tips.

I have no actual dollars to work with to do anything like leasing but, I am okay with that. You do post a lot more and I used to post a couple of times a day, but, found that working full time and posting is hard, especially if I cannot tend to steeming while at work. (phones are in lockers) Anyway... I found that people would only ever vote on my top post, it didn't matter if I posted twenty times a day.

So, I cut it down to one. I needed a bit of balance in life and I still had so many obligations here and still had other sites to tend to, but have since cut down on them to allow more steemit time. ;)

Tipping is a good tool, but, I can see that what happens is we all start tipping everyone when I started out, it was to reward the above and beyonders. LOL

Oh, well, I love doing it anyway.

Yes, it's good - it makes you unique anyway and people like to get it, even though they may not always say it. Trust me - I am not leasing with dollars - only recycled steem :)

Are you working for the govt? No phones? How do they even find people to hire!

Oh, trust me. A lot of places don't allow phones. Secure areas, etc... And they are happy for the job! ;)

I love your tips!! It feels nice. That said, if you burn all your earnings and more, it is not very sustainable. My strategy has been to power up as much as I can so I can give out bigger and bigger votes...
To me, that was the more sustainable options since until very recently, I really couldn't afford to invest any fiat into the Steemverse and with all the freewriters I want to award, I couldn't have tipped very often.
So, know that every one of your tips has indirectly voted on a freewriter 😄

Haha! Well, that makes me feel good.

I say I use it all, Marianne, @mariannewest but, I actually use less than half because the other is powered right up. I am moving slower perhaps is what I mean. But, yes, the upvote would be nice a little bigger.

I am hardly ever with a lot of SP - if you don't upvote, some see it as an insult, but, using SP when you only have 30 or 40% is the kiss of death. It has been difficult to find a good balance, but, someday, I will have enough SP to not worry about it. ;)

Wish in one hand....

And I am happy to hear you love tips! I love giving them! ❤️
