Steemit Needs To Make A Come Back

I don't think people understand the importance of 'likes' and 'shares' on social media. I think they have no clue how powerful these simple actions are or become when we have a strong loyal following. These days, we see simple tweets make or break business deals, and employees sometimes get fired or promoted if their stories become viral. Sometimes movements, which promote political change, started off from social campaigns on social media, like the Occupy Protests after the housing bubble collapse. Social media is a powerful tool but rarely does any average user really get to profit from it, which is why Steemit and Steem has really revolutionized the game (along with other similar ICO projects and social media based cryptocurrency ideas).

Steemit has opened a lot of opportunities for the actual users of social media. it has opened up a clear and consistent payment system, which is downright generous in comparison to how social media sites, like Twitter, Facebook and Google+, use their users for their own self benefit, without compensating their users further for their extra information. Although, Steemit is plagued with low quality content, which people consider it Steemit's bane but I think we can all agree that there is a whole bunch of unneeded ridiculousness, drama, and hysteria all over Twitter and Facebook. Sometimes, that argument doesn't really back itself up.

I criticize Steemit harshly, but I am a fan and I am hopeful. Steemit is doing good, and I like that it is still able to compete today in the top 100 cryptocurrencies. I just hope more users become active on Steemit. The developers seem kind of disconnected, the community seems really detached with a very tribal kind of mindset (which I can understand why), and not many people are too enthused about getting this currency on exchanges, even though I think it would be wonderful (many users I know agree, but barely any public movement). Steemit has a lot of potential to be a great blogsite, but the third party developers are doing a great job with their projects, and I'm happy they are around, without them, I don't think Steemit would be as successful as it is today.

Steem, and the Steem community and dev team as a whole seem to be ready for a strong comeback, but many are unsure of how things will go and some users ask if the system is sustainable. I'm hopeful for all the improvements made by the devs, so I think Steem can make a strong come back and climb the ranks, if the system becomes faster and if people would share some of the love a little more. Consistency has always been hard for me on Steemit, but its definitely something I have worked on. It's a progression for all of us to make Steem even better!
