I find most books on feng shui are very inaccurate and confusing. If the author cannot read Chinese text, I would not pay much attention to that book.
The best way is to read the Chinese text or to have a good teacher.
The experts will not tell you everything. It is a very secretive art which can make lots of money. Even the teacher will not tell the students all that he knows!

When I read these books, I had a question:
"why, having this knowledge, are the poor Chinese?"
In Russia, books on Feng Shui are sold everywhere, but I do not know the people they helped!
Most Chinese people don’t have the knowledge of proper feng shui. It’s the educated class of people who could read and understand highly mathematical and complex subject like feng shui.
Most books are for primary school level! The real thing is very, very complicated. Even I gave up going any further!
