Steem Basic Income

Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

Consistent Growth

We have ten voting accounts, so your upvotes could come from @steembasicincome, @sbi2, @sbi3, @sbi4, @sbi5, @sbi6, @sbi7, @sbi8, @sbi9 or @sbi10. The new system dynamically selects the best account to deliver your upvote at the time of upvote delivery.

We currently have 4139 members that have posted or commented within the last 28 days, and many more members that have not. Unfortunately the members that are not posting are not receiving upvotes. There are currently 106740 units in the program, and it grows every day.

As each upvote is delivered by our newly automated system, it selects the highest VP account that can deliver the full scheduled upvote value. We are working toward creating a smooth VP curve between accounts that will eventually result in most accounts always getting their upvotes from the same 2 or 3 accounts.
Since we have not published this update in so long, I selected a two week period to cover our post-automation upvote delivery.

We had a 3.9% self-vote, which means most of our voting power has been going to our members. With daily updates, this will come above 5%. It would only get close to 10% if our VP rises back above 90%.

This distribution curve is exactly what I expect to see at this stage in our progression. As we reach our target SP distribution across pools, we will start to see a more even distribution in number of accounts voted by each pool, but there really shouldn't be particular accounts with dominant slices in any pool.

Same thing here. To be honest, I don't know how interesting this particular report will continue to be without the weird quarks that we used to see around manual processing. I will have to think about a better way of visualizing the outgoing vote patterns that's more interesting and less work.

Conclusion

Well, I honestly thought this report would be a little more interesting than it turned out to be, but I am happy to report that things are running smoothly under the new system. Most members should have reached equilibrium by now, and our VP is recovering from the Christmas bonus we gave everyone.

Enrollment

If you want to get involved, or to increase the level of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:

Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 share in the program. You can sponsor any active Steemian (excluding yourself), it does not have to be a current member.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. We accept SBD at our discretion but you do not receive extra value or any partial refund for paying in SBD instead of STEEM. If we choose to accept an SBD enrollment, we accept the entire amount. If we choose to reject it, we refund the entire amount and request you to send STEEM instead.

Enrollments are processed automatically every 144 minutes. Confirmation transactions are still manual and typically are sent within 2-3 days. Even if you have not received a welcome transaction, you can check your status using !sbi status.

SBI Writer's Group Needs Your Help

You do not already have to be a member of Steem Basic Income to take up this opportunity, but a basic working knowledge of SBI would help.
