Congratulations to a New Dolphin and My Advice to @waphilip
Today I came across this post where a user took the plunge and bought in to make himself a dolphin! Congrats to @waphilip and welcome to DolphinHood!! Whoot, Let's Celebrate!
https://steemit.com/busy/@waphilip/finally-reached-dolphin-status-3-reason-i-doubled-down-on-steemit
While I was congratulating him and asking others to do the same, he asked me if I have any dolphin tips. Since I was struggling for a topic, I decided to oblige. :)
Here are my quick tips and feel free to hit me up on discord!
My Advice
Treat Steem like you own it, because you do!
Upvote one of your own posts or comments a day. You are self-employed on the blockchain and your stake should help you earn. You bought it, use it.
Engage, Engage, Engage... The value of Steem isn't today's gains, it is in the community and the eyes. Always support the community. In addition, engagement is nearly always returned.
Reward and Respond to those who engage with you. (treat others how you want to be treated)
Hang out with Winners not complainers... Find a happy group of people who are enjoying the site and stick with them. Complainers bring everyone down.
Network, Find some new users and or existing users via Discord or other places.
Watch others who are successful in your eyes and emulate what they do.
Celebrate Success and Diversity, it is good we are all different, surround yourself with people you like, but have tolerance for Applications, People and Topics that are different from your own!
Mostly, be patient... Steem is not a "Fast Game", it is a slow steady crawl!
Again, Congrats and Welcome to Dolphinhood!
@whatsup,
Those are nice tips and advice!
@waphilip,
Congratz for the success you made!
Cheers~
Thanks for the great advice @whatsup! I'm definitely going to take everything you said to heart and try and emulate all of the dolphins who helped me grow!
I've definitely vibed with a lot of your posts and what you stand for so hopefully I can add you to my circle!
I'm in the process of thinking up so cool ideas that I would love to run across you, so I'll definitely reach out on discord!
You are welcome and thank you!
Another thing, know your power... An engaged stakeholder is a rare thing, that creates demand. There are not many of us. Use it wisely.
Duly noted haha! Just like my late uncle Ben said, “with great power comes great responsibility”
Surprisingly my first Spider-Man quote of the day lol

Good advice there, i will follow those and one day hopefully i will become a Dolphin too :)
I think you likely will!
I am. trying :)
This type of post is what excites me about the potential of the Steem ecosystem as it demonstrates a positive and encouraging community that celebrates success. Dolphinhood is huge as only a small population have reached these levels but I think we need to celebrate these milestones with the community more often as it signals the ability to increase the distribution of the rewards pool. We should encourage more minnows to strive and achieve this level as well as they are a great community to support with lots of potential. We can rise by helping others that push us up with them rather than focusing on us growing and pulling others up. Thanks for taking the time as this advice is great and the comments and engagement of the community even better!
I also wish more people would engage and encourage success! Waphilip, did exactly what stakeholders have been asking of the community... HE BOUGHT.
That is a win! We should hold him up as a positive example. (which is what I am trying to do here)
Noooooo!!!! don't you see? Everyone must sit in the same gutter and be miserable for equality purposes.
I am a fan of equality haha

you must distribute your stake equally among the 1.2 Million accounts regardless of who they are as you are a 0.1 percenter now :P
Lmao on second thought...there’s probably already enough equality on Steemit already 😂

haha! ^ Someone you should put on your list of people to emulate @waphilip
lol
Congratz @waphilip! I’ll be one of the next dolphins if all goes as planned. Great advice @whatsup, let’s strive for Orca? :’)

Thank you! Sounds like you have a plan! Just stick to it and you will be there in no time!

Congratulations @waphilip! For what it’s worth, one more little bit of advice: start thinking more in terms of Steem and less in terms of Steemit. 😎
Excellent addition.
Great point! Steem is going to expand far beyond steemit eventually!
