bwphotocontest iPhone photography Rotunda, Thessaloniki

Another black&white photo from my side for the #bwphotocontest. This shot captures Rotunda, a fourth century build temple in Thessaloniki (Greece) to honor the Greece god Zeus.

Between 1524 and 1591 it served as Metropolis (Cathedral), but when the Turkish Ottomans conquered the area it served as mosque. This was its function untill 1912, when the city was liberated and it became a Cathedral again.
