En mi primer viaje del 2017 hacia el páramo merideño, no imaginé encontrarme con un reptil líquido que se arrastraba entre dos montañas que le servían de trinchera.

¿Trinchera?¿De qué se protege?

Yo, hombre de "ciudad", pretendí exponer la belleza de la serpiente, a esta no le gustó. Cuando regresé en Diciembre al mismo punto, confiado en que las escamas plateadas estarían deslizándose sobre la tierra, me llevé un chasco: solo había tierra.

Aparentemente, las leyendas se esconden del humano, esto nos trae gran fascinación y por eso las contamos una y otra vez. Nunca creí que podría tener la forma de un basilisco piadoso (no me miró a los ojos) frente a mi, pero iluso, creí que lo conseguiría nuevamente.

Le doy gracias a la fotografía, por permitirme retratar seres (fantásticos y mundanos) que probablemente no volveré a encontrar.

On my first trip in 2017 to the paramo of Merida, I never expected to find a liquid reptile crawling among the mountains that serve as a trench.

Trench? What is protecting itself from?

Me, a "city" man, wanted to expose the beauty of the snake, but she didn't like it. When I returned in December to the same spot, trusting that the silver scales would be sliding on the earth, I found myself dissapointed: there was nothing but dirt.

Apparently, legends are hidden from the humans, this brings us great fascination and that is why we tell them again and again. I never thought that I could have the shape of a pious basilisk (he did not look me in the eyes) in front of me, but deluded, I thought I would get it again.

I thank the photography for allowing me to portray the beings that I probably will not find again.
