India? I remember reading in some specific parts of the country it is highly tolerated. But really makes no sense at all, the land of Lord Krishna, so much culturally connected to this holy plant, but unfortunately it came through the British government at that time, same as to some places in Africa. Cannabis Sativa, Sattvic food :)
