RE: Researching grow options

in #cannabis5 years ago (edited)

Hey man I just have a few questions for you.

  • Whats your climate like where you live?
  • What is the length of your growing season?
  • How many inches of rain do you recieve per year?
  • What is your average high and low temps?

It would be much more cost effective to grow outdoors if your climate will allow, or in a greenhouse even. Not only would you get a much bigger yield(3-20 lbs/plant) and much more sturdy plants. But if done correctly it produces just as quality bud as indoor,(if quality is of your highest concern).

With that said if you still choose to grow indoors, or if you go the greenhouse direction and would like to grow in the winter as well then i would go for the LED lights. They will not only grow a better product but they will be much more cost effective in the long run, because not only do they last much longer, but they cost much less to run. After 1 season of growing with them you will have most likely paid for them in power savings.

With this nifty little tool you can estimate the cost per month for each light so you can determine what light best fits your budget: https://www.hydroponics.net/learn/hid_lamp_op_cost.php

I hope this helped you, and if you want to get some tips on how to grow the best product possible with the least work and input, then give me a follow and/or send me a message, I would be glad to share some knowledge with you.
