Would You Work In a Cannabis Store??

in #cannabis7 years ago

It's official... Canada is legalizing Cannabis! It's only a matter of time now that the Provinces have all decided how to regulate the substance until you can walk into a store and by some pot with nothing more than your 19+ ID. Project Paperclip (where Ontario police made sweeping raids and arrests in peaceful dispensaries), ended in a very lackluster fashion with just a handful of charges being issued. But now that the legal store front style shops are going to be opening in August throughout Ontario, the big question is:

"Who's going to be working in these stores?"

Well my friends, the answer is................... Me, hopefully! :D I've been lucky enough to have a chance at being one of those behind-the-counter people; the beloved Budtender! (or Product Specialist as they call it). I'm hoping that if I do get the job, I'll be able to perpetuate a new image for us smokers. Nowadays, we're not the cartoon version of what non-smokers might believe us to be. I swear, I don't know anyone who acts like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo! Social Responsibility is high on my list for the new image, and with that will come a deeper level of Cannabis Education and what I believe will be a totally new wave of Cannabis users.

There's something about the weird hippy stereotype I find a little bit
offensive lol! Let's update the image of cannabis users for 2018

So guys, what do you think it would be like to work in a weed shop? Do you think the Cannabis Community is evolving past its stereotypical image? I'm hoping that some of you Steemers have had some experience working in a dispensary and would like to share your stories here. I'd also just love to hear your opinion of Ontario's legalization plan. Each province has a different idea of how to regulate so it would be neat to hear more from some other Canadians too!

Lemme know what you're thinking in the comments. Thanks for reading!
