AUDI A6; A SPLENDID PIECE OF MACHINE

Variety they say is the spice of life. For all lovers of good things out there and lovers of good cars you may want to take a good look at this beautiful piece of work. The New Audi A6 has been rumoured to be released early 2019 or late 2018.

The new Audi A6 will be built using a modified version of the A8’s MLB chassis which will help make it as much as 100kg lighter than the old car. It’ll be powered by a range of four and six-cylinder engines – including a 2.0-litre petrol e-tron plug-in hybrid model and a 2.0-litre diesel hybrid using electric turbocharging technology previously fitted to the Audi SQ7 .

The new A6 will have a similar front end to the latest Audi A8 and recently revealed A7 . The old model’s rounded grille has been replaced by a much sharper hexagonal item while the new car’s headlights are wider and thinner than on the outgoing model.

At the rear, we can see this estate prototype doesn’t come with the full-width brake lights like its larger A7 and A8 cousins. Instead it gets a pair of taller, more angular units – reminiscent of those on the smaller A4 . When the camouflage comes off, you can expect a pair of fake chrome exhausts to feature somewhere on the new car’s bumper.

EARLIER RELEASED AUDI A7 INTERIOR

All A6s are expected to come with either a seven or eight-speed automatic gearbox and a raft of autonomous driving tech. This means it’ll be able to accelerate, brake and steer for you in traffic at up to 37mph. Faster S6 and RS6 Avant models are expected to follow the standard car into production in 2019 with the latter powered by the same 4.0-litre V8 engine as the Porsche Panamera Turbo.
