Tesla's founder, Elon Musk, introduced the new vehicles: electric truck and 'world's fastest serial production car'

Elon Musk, owner of a US-based Tesla motors automotive company known for investments in electric motor technology, announced two new vehicles the company is preparing to drive into the market.

The first car was the world's first electric truck

The Tesla Semi truck was introduced to the public at an airport in Los Angeles.
Musk said the electric truck project is a big step in reducing the world's use of fossil fuels.

Tesla Semi, which can travel 800 kilometers after being charged, was manufactured to remove the load capacity that the largest transport trucks can carry.

Diesel-powered trucks can travel 1,600 miles with a single tank. However, Elon Musk says Tesla Semi cost 20 percent less than diesel trucks when it comes to the cost of filling the tank.

Tesla Semi's electric battery is mounted inside the chassis. The truck has four electric motors for four rear wheels separately.

The driver's seat of the truck is also placed for better visibility. To the right and left of the steering wheel there is one touch screen.

The company aims to start mass production of electric truck in 2019.
