not all cars are designed with planned obsolescence... Ford F150 Trucks and Toyota's are both made to last a long time and are great cars... some new cars last longer than older cars because technology has just become better if and IF you actually pay for the high quality!
I agree that there are good high-end cars from Ford, Toyota and other manufacturers, the segment of affordable (cheap) cars is weak
